As an Installer Level 1, you’ll assist experienced installers on residential and commercial HVAC projects, gaining the skills and confidence to grow into a certified professional while helping deliver comfort and reliability to clients across Illinois.

What You’ll Do
- Support lead installers in setting up and completing heating and cooling installations.
- Prepare job sites with drop cloths and protection, ensuring clean and safe work areas.
- Assist with ductwork removal, support, insulation, and sealing according to code.
- Load and unload equipment, restock trucks, and organize materials daily.
- Operate hand and power tools safely, including drills, ladders, and measuring devices.
- Follow company safety policies and maintain all personal protective equipment.
- Perform cleanup and post-install inspections to ensure a professional finish.
- Use Service Plus software to record time, job notes, and inventory transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent Service Plus with professionalism.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required; trade school or certificate preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs with assistance and work from ladders or elevated areas.
- Strong attention to safety, teamwork, and detail.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn under experienced professionals.
Nice-to-Haves
- Basic tool knowledge including tape measure, hammer, and power drill use.
- Prior experience in construction, general labor, or HVAC assistance.
- EPA 608 certification or readiness to obtain within 90 days.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
